The trip is demanding. You must have experience in skiing off-piste, and preferably have experience with ski touring. Avalanche safety pack is mandatory to bring on all ski tours with Svalbard Wildlife Expeditions*
Price includes:

Recommend to bring:
- Good, warm and sealed ski boots*
- Ski equipment (skis, shoes, poles and helmet)*
- Avalanche package (search probe, shovel and avalanche beacon)*
- Warm clothes
- Cold drink (preferably in a thermos as liquid can freeze to ice)
- Camera
- Backpack

Itinerary
Join us on a top trip up the challenging Nordenskiöld mountain. Maybe we'll reach the highest point if the weather and hiking conditions allow it. We start the ski tour in Nybyen/Sverdrupbyen, possibly via the cable car center by the church and Platåfjellet. Our goal is the top of Nordenskiöldfjellet at 1050 meters above sea level.
Along the way, we take a break with a hot expedition lunch while we enjoy the silence and look at the beautiful Svalbard nature. The view is fantastic. Feel free to bring your own packed lunch in addition if you wish. Guide will go over the day's activity and check your equipment before you start in the morning.
