The trip is medium to demanding, mountain hiking and some cave crawling must be expected. Not suitable for people in bad shape, with back problems or claustrophobia.
Price includes:
- Transport round trip
- Ice cave equipment incl. headlamp
- Warm expedition lunch
- Warm drink
- Guide with necessary safety equipment
- Snowshoes/hiking poles if needed
Recommend to bring:
- Good, warm and sealed mountain boots*
- Warm clothes
- Cold drink (preferably in a thermos as liquid can freeze to ice)
- Camera
- Backpack
*If you do not have warm hiking boots, these can be rented for NOK 100.
We serve warm lunch and warm drinks along the way. Bring your own packed lunch if necessary.

Itinerary
Join us to the top of the characteristic mountain Trollsteinen, 850 meters above sea level and which lies like a horseshoe around Larsbreen. Along the way, we visit an ice cave. This is the trip for those who want to experience more - you get two great experiences in one and the same adventure.
The trip starts with a hike in an exciting moraine landscape, before we cross Larsbreen and head towards an ice cave. Depending on the nature of the group, we visit the cave on the way up or on the way back.
Under Svalbard's glaciers during winter season we find a frozen adventure of meltwater channels. Before the cave visit, we put on a helmet, spikes and headlamp and then go down into the cave. We spend some time down in the ice, so that you can experience the underground world with the mighty ice crystals.
When we have finished in the ice cave, we continue up towards Trollsteinen. On the back and at the top, the view is fantastic!
If you do not want a visit to the ice cave, we can arrange a trip without the cave with a minimum of 2 participants.
