The trip is demanding.
You must have experience in skiing off-piste, and preferably ski touring on randonee. Avalanche safety pack is mandatory to bring on all ski tours with Svalbard Wildlife Expeditions*
Price includes:
- Transport round trip

Recommend to bring:
- Good, warm and sealed ski boots*
- Ski equipment (skis, shoes, poles and helmet)*
- Avalanche package (search probe, shovel and avalanche beacon)*
- Warm clothes
- Cold drink (preferably in a thermos as liquid can freeze to ice)
- Camera
- Backpack
- Extra packed lunch if needed

*NOK 1100 rental of ski package incl. ski boots
We ask our guests to send height, weight and shoe size by e-mail when booking to save time on the day of departure.

Itinerary
When the ski season is over on the mainland and in the Alps, the season has just started in Svalbard.
We arrange tailor-made summit tours in spectacular Svalbard nature from the turn of February/March.
This is an exclusive tour for small groups with a guide.
Here you can choose for yourself whether you want to ride a snowmobile to the foot of the selected mountain, or whether you want to start in Longyearbyen and ski to the top of the mountain.
Arctowskifjellet and Ottofjellet require snowmobile transport. Trollsteinen and Larshierta are located in a snowmobile-free area, so here we start the trip from Nybyen.
Our guides are always up to date on where the best snow conditions are at all times and have all the necessary safety equipment in addition to their personal ones. We are flexible when it comes to personal wishes for the trip, but please note that safety always comes first.
The duration of the trip is estimated upon request, where we eat lunch in the mountains along the way. We recommend that you bring your own, fully adapted ski equipment - or you rent ready-made skis and avalanche packages from us.
