Ski Touring Camp & Snowmobile Adventure – For Those Who Want to Experience More

Would you like to join a ski touring camp, but also discover Svalbard’s more remote wilderness together with a group of like-minded adventurers? Then this is the trip for you. You can sign up alone or with a friend – you’ll quickly get to know both your guide and fellow participants along the way.

This adventure combines our popular Ski Touring Camp in Endalen with two days of ski and snowmobiling through Svalbard’s wild and beautiful landscapes.

    Ski Touring the Svalbard Way

Experience Svalbard’s untouched nature through two of our most exciting activities: ski touring and snowmobiling. It’s a unique blend of silence and motion, with majestic mountains, wide-open spaces, and views you’ll never forget.

Day 1:  Welcome to Longyearbyen.  You check in at Gjestehuset 102. A dinner reservation has been made for the group at a local restaurant (not included).

Day 2–4: Ski Touring near Longyearbyen

After a good night’s sleep at Gjestehuset 102, we’re ready to begin the adventure. We start by exploring the mountains surrounding Longyearbyen – such as Trollsteinen and Bingfjellet. Staying close to town means more time skiing and less time spent on transport. It’s also a more sustainable choice.

Accommodation during these days is in the field, at our very own Wilderness Camp. Here, we sleep in tents located right at the foot of the peaks, in a snowmobile-free zone. The camp also features a heated communal tent where you can warm up and relax after a day in the mountains. After two nights in the wilderness, we return to Gjestehuset 102, where we’ll stay for the remainder of the trip.

    Day 5–6: Ski and Snowmobile

After three days exploring the surroundings of Longyearbyen, it’s time to discover more of what Svalbard has to offer. We let the weather and snow conditions guide us to the best spots. Your guide has extensive experience and knows many beautiful peaks – often places where we can enjoy the mountains all to ourselves.

On the final day, the group may choose to swap skis for a longer snowmobile adventure. A popular option is the East Coast, renowned for its vast glacier systems and as the realm of the polar bear.

    Day 7: The adventure ends
You check out from Gjestehuset 102, or choose to extend your stay. If you'd like to explore more, we're happy to help you find additional day trips.

The ski touring camp can also be booked as a three-day experience, or you can join ski and snowmobile tours without overnight stay in the camp.
