Hiortfjellet - an arctic challenge
Everybody has a relationship with Hjortfjellet, a mountain that towers with its characteristic shape on the other side of the fjord facing us in Longyearbyen. To climb its summit is a must. But it is tough. First the fjord must be crossed by kayak, then around 1000 altitude metres in an untouched terrain await to be climbed.
Kayak tour on Adventfjorden
Join us on a kayak trip in Adventfjorden, one of Svalbard’s most historical fjords surrounded by mountains up to 1000 metres tall. Experience the contrasts between the organized society of Longyearbyen and the historical east side of Adventfjorden with its remnants of a proud coal production industry.
Sarkofagen - Hiking trip in glacier landscape
The trip will start by hiking up the east side of Sarkofagen, 500 masl, by the glacier Larsbreen. Here, we will have time for a stop, allowing us to enjoy the view of Longyearbyen and Isfjorden, before the trip continues southwards down to the glacier Longyearbreen.
Summit Trip to Trollsteinen
The mountain ridge around Lars Glacier is shaped like a horse shoe. A huge rock towers at the highest poin of the ridge. Shrouded in Arctic landscape, this place truly earns its name - Trollsteinen (the Troll rock). We start the our trip by walking up the mountain Sukkertoppen before we head of to the magical Trollsteinen. We will take a break to eat a proper expedition lunch, and enjoy the silence around us.
On the top of Trollsteinen the view is fantastic.
