Summit trip on Trollsteinen

The mountain ridge around Larsbreen (Lars’ Glacier) is shaped like a horseshoe. At the highest point of the ridge there is a huge rock tower. 850 mas. this place truly earns its name - Trollsteinen (the Troll Rock). We begin the walk in Nybyen and will after a while cross the Lars Glacier. Snowmobiles are prohibited in this area. Duration approx. 7 hours. Min. age 12 years, min. 1 participant. Medium/tough trip. Please bring a small backpack with extra sweater and cold drinks.
Ice cave underneath the glacier

Melting water channels are formed in the glaciers during the summer. In winter these channels freeze, creating spectacular ice caves. We will have to crawl during some parts of the trip, so the trip is not suitable for those with back problems or claustrophobia. Duration app. 3 hours. Min. 1 participants.
